FloridaBeachBar.com is pleased to announce the 2016 winners of its 6th Annual Top 10 Florida Beach Bar competition. During the month of April, over 23,000 beach bar enthusiasts cast online votes for 281 different bars. Votes were combined with FloridaBeachBar.com’s beach bar ratings to create the winning list. Jimmy B’s Beach Bar of St. Pete Beach captured first place followed by Bongos Beach Bar and Grille in St. Pete and Sharky’s On the Pier in Venice.
Jimmy B’s, The Golden Lion, and Racing’s North Turn are the only bars to make the list 6 years running! Harry’s Beach Bar on St. Pete Beach, Ocean Deck on Daytona Beach, Caddy’s on the Beach on Sunset Beach, Racing’s North Turn in Ponce Inlet, Shephard’s on Clearwater Beach, and Boston’s on the Beach in Delray are previous winners who are back on the list this year.
This year we had a very close competition and there were a few Florida beach bars that were very close to making it in the Top 10. The Lemon Bar on Neptune Beach, Crabby Joe’s Deck and Grill in Daytona Beach, Casino Beach Bar and Grille in Pensacola, Johnny D’s in Flagler Beach, and Toasted Monkey on St. Pete Beach received honorable mentions for a very strong showing in 2016!
The number of votes collected this year set a record, adding almost 7,000 new voters compared to the previous year! Participating beach bars used local promotions, their web sites, and social media to solicit votes.
