Message from St. Pete Beach Vice Mayor Finnerty

gulf-beaches-elementaryThe Gulf Beaches Elementary Magnet School PTA will be holding their annual Fish Broil event at 8600 Boca Ciega Drive, and will be joined this year by St. Alban Epis- copal Church. The event will take place on Saturday October 10th from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm. This annual fundraiser supports the reopened Magnet School. There will be fresh fish or BBQ chicken dinners with two sides for $5.00, carnival games, a bounce house, face painting, a photo booth, inflatable slides and a dunk tank. There will also be auction baskets featuring thousands of dollars in prizes, getaways, and gift certificates will be auctioned at 5 pm. The city of St. Pete Beach will be blocking off 85th Avenue where wine, beer and craft beers will be sold.

The school is in need of volunteers to ensure all the children have a fun day and to have a successful Fish Broil. If you are interested in helping for an hour or two please go to www.gbempta.com and click on the Fish Broil help link to sign up. If you cannot volunteer, however, would like to contribute in some way, the school is in need of donations, such as charcoal, tartar sauce, etc. for the Fish Broil. Please go to www.walmart.com to review their “wish list”. Go to the wedding registry and type in Gulf Beaches for the first name and PTA for the last name and pick the items you would like to Come and enjoy a great family fun day while experiencing fantastic food and beverages. All proceeds go to supporting two excellent schools in our community.
