Daystar Life Center Needs Volunteers

daystar-life-centerA single dad loses his job and temporarily moves in with his mom. A teenager lands employment with the Tampa Bay Rays and needs help navigating the process of applying for a personal ID card. A grandmother raising three grandchildren needs a grocery boost to make it to the end of the week.

These are all people recently finding help at Daystar Life Center, 226 6th St. S. St. Petersburg. The non-profit – where 96 cents of each $1 donated goes directly to client services – offers a variety of ways to get past a rough time. Basically, Daystar is there to meet basic needs for families and individuals during a crisis but it’s also there to guide clients towards a better life.
