Baseball Around the Bay

Spring means Baseball in the Bay Area! Here is a quick run down of what we consider the best ways to watch local Major and Minor league teams this season!

Your Tampa Bay Rays will take on the Baltimore Orioles on Monday, April 6th at 3:10pm for their home opener at the Trop! 2015 Flex Pack tickets are now available online for 3, 6 or 9 games starting at $89, $149 and $209 respectively. Buy your 2015 Flex Pack at Opening Day and get a Rays Replica Pullover! 2015 “ALL FANS” Giveaways include an Alex Cobb Gumby doll on April 18th, an Evan Longoria Bobblehead on May 9th & Rays Retro Headband on June 27th! Kids can earn a free ticket to a Rays game by tracking their reading hours with their local librarian over the summer (total is 24 to round home). Look for the Reading with the Rays insert in the Tampa Bay Times, Sunday, June 8th for your game card. Learn more at http://tampabay.rays.mlb.com/tb/community/reading.jsp.

Now, we have the low cost option for those just looking to get their family and /or friends off the couch! Minor League Baseball has been an affordable AND FUN option in Florida for a while now. Locally we have FOUR Minor League Teams- Bradenton Marauders, Clearwater Threshers, Dunedin Blue Jays and Tampa Yankees. The closest team to you will vary based on your Bay Area address. Our favorite Threshers promotion is $1 Tuesdays when you can get walk-up tickets, hot dogs, draft beers, soft drinks, popcorn, peanuts and ice cream ALL for a $1 each! The Thresher’s Thirsty Thursday is great too with BOGO drinks in the ballpark and Post Game music at Frenchy’s Tiki Pavillion.
