84th Annual Historical Fish Broil & Mullet Festival on November 15

In keeping with its mission to be part of the community, in conjunction with St. John Vianney Catholic School, Montessori by the Sea school is hosting the 84th Annual Historical Fish Broil & Mullet Festival, Saturday, November 15, 2 to 7pm at its original location at Hurley Park in Pass-A-Grille. In keeping with tradition, Montessori by the Sea is raising funds for local education, just as event founder Captain Kenneth Merry did in 1930.

Event Director and Montessori parent Karla Hollan says, “This event is all about the community; we are brought together for common goals, to celebrate our past and create our future. While the [grilling] bedsprings are new and the fish is fresh, we still keep the traditions, seasoning the grill and bringing the community together.”

Be sure to join in on the fun with activities including a fun zone for all ages, featuring an adult-size jenga, bungee trampoline and joust. Kids can choose from popular face painting to creating traditional gyotaku art, a fish print they can take home. There will be live music, entertainment, beer/wine, an auction and of course everyone can enjoy a wonderful fresh fish dinner. Festivities will wrap up with a beach bonfire at 7pm. Be sure to come out for an afternoon and evening of family fun and entertainment. General admission is free.
